What about low bar squats? I think these have a bit more of a hip hinge? I also am doing deadlifts, so I’m not really worried that I’m missing something, but I’m wondering what you think about low bar squats as a more complete lower body lift?

I love that question. Low bars have more of a hip hinge than high bar so there will be more tension on the glutes. But because the knees are still bending and the knees are still going forward the hamstrings still aren’t changing length all that much. To really hit the hamstrings we want to have a movement where the knees or hips are totally fixed like RDLs, hamstring curls etc.
